About us... The Lawrence Jayhawk Kennel Club, established in 1954, is a non-profit organization devoted to the advancement of purebred dogs and the welfare of dogs in general. This is accomplished through the education of ourselves and the public in all aspects of owning, training, breeding, and exhibiting dogs. We welcome visitors to our meetings and encourage applications for membership. The club provides opportunities for social interaction, competition, and training with other dog owners. We promote responsible dog ownership and sponsor several dog-related competitions and activities throughout the year including: obedience training classes, an all-breed dog show and obedience trial, and dog agility competition. We are located in Lawrence, Kansas which is in northeast Kansas approximately 1/2 hour west of Kansas City, Missouri and 1/2 hour east of Topeka, Kansas. |
