General Meeting Minutes

After a period of time where club members ate and visited the meeting was called to order by Jane Tusten at 11:41

  • President Report, Jane Tusten:

    • asked about Mums for the Show. Lee Boyd volunteered to take care of those and pumpkins  for Photographers area plus trophy table, Vicki’s memorial book, etc.

    • asked about Memory Book. Cindy and Linda will man that table, which will also be for catalog sales and trophies

  • Secretary Report, Linda Wheeler:

    • Reading of August 29, 2022 General Meeting Minutes, approved

    • Synopsis of Sept. 12, 2022  Board Meeting

  • Treasurer Report, Terri Rick: (via printout)

    • $76,042.61 in all Accounts

    • paid since last meeting: Dg Co Fairgrounds $3,364; A-1 Mini Storage $90; Hodges Badge Co for Show ribbons $1006.53

  • 1st Vice President, Deb Duncan: No Report

  • 2nd Vice President, Amber Miller: getting Obedience and Rally stewards lined up

  • AKC Delegate, Deb Duncan: No report

  • Committees:

    • Show Committee

      • Nancy Wilson: Ring Stewards for conformation are lined up

      • Margaret Thorp: Lots of help needed for Thurs night, 10/13, set up. 5:45 at Storage building (behind Dale Willey's) to load up. 6PM at 4-H judging area for unloading, general organizing and set up, grooming area marking, etc.  And Sunday – after show for clean up. Linda will send out another email (reminder) to all club members passing along what help is needed & when for Oct. 13-16.

      • Janet Dreiling will be running the practice session Friday night, Linda is Jane’s Backup to help Janet.

      • Amber Miller: No venders yet. Getting reservations for RVs and grooming spaces.

      • Add preferred class for Obedience next year, it was overlooked for this year.

      • Fur Ball ticket will be raffled off to a club member who works at our show (raffle chance per shift worked) – for those who want to be in the drawing.

  • New Business:

    • 1st reading for family membership for Joyce and Jeff Osborn (Alaskan Malamutes)

  • The next General Meeting: October 24th

  • Meeting adjourned
